Description

The book “Uma escada para o céu” (A ladder to the sky) tells the story of a girl who once heard that “heaven is the place where happiness remains”. In pursuit of happiness, she decides to climb up the steps of her blue ladder which keeps expanding until she finds herself in an incredible adventure!

About the Author:
Pollyana Gama Talita Nozomi

Author of illustration: Talita Nozomi is an Illustrator, visual artist and the author of more than ten children's books. She is an artist with a multicultural identity, who received a master's degree in Drawing and Printing Technics, from the Fine Arts College of Porto, Portugal, and who has participated in several illustration courses in Brazil, Europe and Asia. In 2017, she was selected for the exhibition "Ilustração Portuguesa" (Setúbal), and for the Illustrators Exhibition of Bologna Children’s Book Fair. In 2018, the book “Vovó veio do Japão” (Companhia das Letrinhas), won the award “Prêmio Cátedra UNESCO de Leitura 2018” In 2019, she was a finalist of BIISA (Bienal Internacional de ilustração Solidária Ajudaris). Author of text: Pollyana Gama is an educator, with a Master’s in human development, member of the Taubateana Academy of Letters. She participates in movements and public policies to encourage reading. For this support and for her pioneering actions in the community, she has recieved recognition from the Volkswagen Foundation of Brazil.
