The Only Road (translated by the author into Spanish as El único destino) is a highly topical and important book enjoyed by youth and adults wanting a realistic adventure as well as an insight on the current immigration situation. Alexandra Diaz is the author of The Only Road (El único destino in Spanish), which is a Pura Belpré Honor and Américas Award winner, as well as a International Latino Book Award finalist. She has a MA in Writing for Young People from Bath Spa University. Her YA titles include Good Girls Don't Lie and When We Were (formally titled Of All the Stupid Things), which was an ALA Rainbow List book.
