Description

Andres, a young Latino student living in San Francisco, meets the Schmidts, a Chilean father and daughter, on his return from his college year abroad. The father, is a Sellarebu Pharmaceuticals executive who has been transferred to the Presidio to work on a secret project. Subsequently, Andres is hired to tutor the daughter for the summer. Murders, white supremacy, and young love pepper the lives of Andres and the Schmidt household. The intertwine stories twist and turn. Who are the good guys? Who can be trusted? Is this a local affair or an international conspiracy? Is there more that meets the eye?

Rocky Barilla is a Latino author who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife Dolores. He was an ILBA winner last year for his "Taste of Honey" that also was a Latino Literacy Winner for Books into Movies. He was formally educated at the University of Southern California and Stanford University (he spent two quarters at its Vienna, Austria campus). He has a background of being a Latino and Human Rights advocate. His motto is "Life is Good."
