An empty thought bubble leaves a comic and comes alive when she realizes she can think for herself. Delighted with her discovery and newfound freedom, she reflects on the world and her own existence. In the course of her adventure, she comes into contact with the existential questioning of an egg yolk, the musings of an insecure guava, the boredom of a tree shadow, the ancestral secret of the wind and poetic creation.

Joao Luiz Guimaraes was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and spent his childhood in Vancouver, Canada. After quitting medical school, he obtained a degree in journalism from the University of Sao Paulo. He has worked for magazines and news agencies and as a screenwriter on television programs. His most recent projects include scripts for TV Cultura and for channels such as Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and National Geographic, in addition to institucional videos. "O Vento de Oalab" is his first book for children.
