Celeste León is an award winning author. Her passion for the past ten years has been writing Luck is Just the Beginning, the novel inspired by her father’s life, released by Floricanto Press (www.floricantopress.com) on November 23, 2015. Her short stories have appeared in Chicken Soup for the Soul, Celebrating People Who Make a Difference and The Preservation Foundation (www.storyhouse.org). She is a 2013 Alumna of The Squaw Valley Community of Writers. Her personal essay, Finding Home, about her travels to Puerto Rico, won first prize in the Annual Contest for High Sierra Writers of Reno, Nevada. She was named one of “Ten Latina Authors to Watch and Read” by the Latina Book Club of New York in honor of Women’s History Month in March, 2016. Ms. León is a physical therapist and lives in Truckee, CA with her family.
