Reviews/Quotes

Luisita, who was playing with her dolls heard that and asked “Where is LA? I thought we were going to Los Angeles!” Her parents laughed. They explained to her that LA stood for Los Angeles! –“L” for “Los” and “A” for “Angeles”. She laughed with them. Luisita thought that was hilarious. And the surprise was more when she realized that Steve didn’t have legs and that he had to be pushed in a wheelchair. She didn’t say anything but had many questions that she thought to ask her parents later. When Luisita looked behind Steve’s wheelchair, she noticed a little boy pushing the chair. She thought “it’s so hard to live without legs. I wonder if it hurts”. She thought to ask Steve and she did. Steve told her that once, long ago, it used to hurt but no longer hurts. He also told her it was hard to get used to do things at first, but he became stronger every day and with good friends and family everything is always easier. Luisita was so happy to hear what Steve told her.
